7:00 pm, Thursday March 22
at the Garden House on Beacon Hill, 2336 15th Ave. S. Seattle, WA 98144 (at S. College Street)
Open to all! Come hear an overview and update of the project, with a teach-in on some aspects of Permaculture. Meet the SteerCo (Steering Committee) and each other. We want to meet you and talk about the next steps for this summer and fall!
Bring a potluck food or beverage item if you like... see you there!
Here is the agenda
1) Welcome/Mingle
2) BFF History
a) A brief discussion of the work that has been done so far to make the BFF a reality in our
neighborhood
3) BFF Status –
a) An update on where the project is today and what the Steering Committee is working on
4) Teaching
a) We’ll talk a little bit about permaculture, what a food forest is, how these things relate
to the BFF, and why we’re doing the things we’re doing.
5) Appeal for Outreach Coordinator/Call for event staff
a) We need your help. There are several event coming up and we will need some
volunteers to staff them
6) Skills Assessment
a) We’ve had a lot of interest in volunteering, so we’ve decided to build a “skills bank.” Tell
us how you would like to participate with the BFF. If we know what you’re abilities and
interests are, we’ll know when to get in touch. – Don’t worry, if you have an interest in
something but no experience, that’s ok….community learning/teaching is a big part of
what we’re doing.
7) Wrap-up/Raffle/Social Time
a) We’ll finish the meeting up with a raffle for a fabulous prize and an opportunity to be
neighborly
