The Friends of Beacon food Forest is having a PLANTING PARTY to put our bare root babies into pots on:
Sunday May 6, 2012 on Beacon Hill. 1:30-4:30pm
This week we are receiving a large order of edible tree and shrub plants in the form of a ‘bare root,’ and they need to be potted for the season and await their planting into the Beacon Food Forest in the fall.
Come join us. We will share updates and stories as we plant. We will provide instruction on how.
Bring gloves and we will all get to work on putting these bare root babies in soil.
We need: large plastic plant pots: 4 gal – 20 gallons in size. – Do you have any or know where we can get some?
Please RSVP to Jacqueline at cramerjacqueline99@gmail.com so we can get a count on helpers, and I will give you directions to the planting party. Tell me if you have pots.
We look forward to seeing you!
